About Melinda Beyers

A choral conductor and soprano, Melinda earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Marylhurst University. She studied voice with Nancy Olson-Chatalas, Sister Claudia Foltz and Dr. Ewan Mitton. Melinda was a soloist for the Orange County Master Chorale, the Pensacola and the Morehead Oratorio Societies, and the Marylhurst Chorale and has performed from Okinawa, Japan to Carnegie Hall, NYC. Upon founding the Oregon City Youth Chorus in 1991, Melinda began attending conducting seminars and has studied with Rodney Eichenberger of Florida State University and Dr. Axel Theimer of St. John's University. She has also worked with Lisa Popeil of The Voiceworks Method.
Melinda sings with and conducts Voce Bella, a women's ensemble largely comprised of professional musicians. She also conducts Encore Women's Vocal Ensemble and the Milwaukie Center Singers and is the Music Director for Tualatin United Methodist Church
